Senior Property and Casualty Underwriter

DUTIES
- Understand company operations and procedures.
- Ensure company profitability by utilizing your underwriting authority to wise select risks and assign suitable prices.
- Win and retain customers by maintaining great rapport while providing understanding of the target market, problem solving, and quality service.
- Following best business practices, according to national standards and regulatory standards and policies, control operational risks and apply internal controls.
- Take responsibility for training, mentoring, and consulting to less experienced staff, both underwriters and other support staff.
- Special Project and assignments, including collaborative endeavors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate College/Courses or on-job training equivalent, plus CIP or FCIP
- Minimum three years Property and Casualty experience
- Thoroughly understand principles and pricing.
- Knowledge of underwriting systems and policy administration.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary $55,000 to $75,000.
