We're Committed to Your Privacy
Dynamic Teambuilders is committed to protecting your
personal information - the information you provide when doing business with
any employment placement agency. Your
name, address and employment history are a few examples.
How We Use and Disclose Personal Information
Very simply, we
will share your business-related personal information with prospective
employers, and never with anyone else unless required by law.
DETAILS: Recent federal
privacy legislation, called the Personal Information Protection and
Electronic Documents Act, stipulates that businesses such as ours must
let you know what we collect, why and how we collect as well as protect it, and
how we use and disclose the information we gather. All of this information is
outlined below.
Why We Collect Personal Information
We collect information about you to most effectively
present you, our candidate, to potential employers.
The information you provide does the following:
Ø
Allows us to assess your qualifications;
Ø
Helps us understand your interests;
Ø
Enables us to make the most effective matches; and
Ø
Protects both of us against fraud and error.
What Information We Collect and How We Collect It
BASIC: We collect such basic information as your name, your
mailing and e-mail addresses and your phone and fax numbers. We also ask for
your educational background, employment history and business references and for
information on your availability and geographic location.
EXTENDED: Only for certain positions of extended
responsibility - when required by prospective employers and only with your
consent - we ask for credit history, driver's records and criminal records
from you, and your references. We may also be required to collect information
from credit organizations, financial institutions, motor-vehicle and
driver-licensing authorities and the police. But to gather such extended
information, we must have your specific permission in advance.
How We Obtain Your Consent
As a general rule, we will ask for your written permission
(on a consent form, for example) or for your verbal consent over the phone. Or,
we will assume that your consent is understood: by virtue of you having asked us
to put forward your name and credentials for suitable positions.
The only legal exceptions to these rules are in emergency
situations. Were it necessary for your protection or Dynamic Teambuilders', we
would not have to obtain your consent or explain the purpose of the collection,
use or disclosure of your personal information.
How We Protect Personal Information
Dynamic Teambuilders is diligent in its responsibility to
protect your personal information. Here are some of principles we've put in
place:
Ø
We will obtain the appropriate consent for the collection, use or
disclosure of your business-related personal information and we will have
safeguards in place to protect your confidentiality.
Ø
We will only collect, use and disclose personal information in the
normal course of business - to pursue suitable employment for you - and will
respect any constraints that you place on us, unless required otherwise by law.
Ø
We will keep your personal information for as long as we're
recruiting on your behalf unless you instruct us not to or the law states
otherwise.
Your Role and Your Rights
You have choices in how we handle your personal
information. You can direct us not to obtain, use or share such information and
you can withdraw your consent at any time. We will respect any constraints you
place on us - although your instructions may limit us in our ability to
present you to prospective employers.
To do any of the following, please contact our privacy
officer at (416) 488-HIRE (4473).
Ø
Access your personal information;
Ø
Change your consent to how we collect, use or disclose your
business-related personal information;
Ø
Ask questions or discuss your concerns about our privacy policies;
or
Ø
Complain about the manner in which we have handled your
information.
In all matters, Dynamic Teambuilders is committed to
treating you with respect and courtesy and to developing a positive and
productive working relationship.
